Incredibles 2: worth the wait?

My inner child is screaming… 14 years and it’s finally here. But was it worth the wait?

It’s been forever and a day since the first movie blessed our lives so this got me very excited. I’m a big Disney fan so as you can imagine, as soon as that castle hit the screen I was thrilled. The film has been rated quite highly from various places: Rotten Tomatoes – 93% and IMDb – 8.3/10. I don’t like to check this before so I can go into it open minded but realistically we all had high hopes for this movie.

WHAT I THOUGHT?

Okay, so I loved it. Do I think there was need for a 14 year wait? No. But all in all the film was downright brilliant. They’ve definitely upped their game big time since the last film and added everything we needed. We had Frozone back in action and a little section from his funny wife, The incredibles working as a family just like the last time, funny little Edna made an appearance. Overall they added a lot more comedy this time round which brought the whole thing together. The whole cast was the exact same, except for dash as, well… it’s been 14 years, can’t expect a kid to sound the same after that amount of time. It was definitely worth the watch, probably not the wait. The wait was not needed and was getting excessive so I’m glad they’ve finally made a 2nd. By the looks of the ending I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a 3rd but to be honest, I can’t be bothered waiting another 400 years for it.

MY RATING.

Overall I would rate this film very highly, like I said they’ve upped their game since last time and really added everything we needed to this film.

My Rating: 9/10

I’ve only took 1 point away for the wait… other than that I could watch this over and over again.

Hope you enjoyed this review and found it useful. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you thought about Incredibles 2 in the comments.

See you in the next one,

Jess.
